Housing estate, Bad Bellingen
The site of the internationally renowned Drei Thermen golf resort in the Markgräfler region of Germany has become home to an exclusive housing estate.
Four buildings containing a total of 40 modern freehold apartments can now be found at the centre of this favourite meeting point for international golf partners: perfectly situated within the border triangle area between Germany, Switzerland and France.
Highly efficient living comfort.
The four apartment buildings are supplied with heat centrally using
a Wilo-Stratos. The high-efficiency pump ideally fulfils all the important requirements of the residential building. For example, its pleasantly quiet operating noise level and it low space requirements are particularly impressive. The integrated autopilot also automatically reduces energy consumption during the night, thus enabling high energy savings.
Ideal interaction with condensing boiler technology.
The most interesting aspect of the Wilo-Stratos it that it is predestined for condensing boiler technology thanks to its special
type of control Δp-T. This means that the Wilo-Stratos can ensure that only as much heat reaches the heaters as is actually required. The heating feed temperature and return temperature are thus kept low (60 °C) in a controlled manner. This results in maximum efficiency and a considerable reduction in fuel consumption. Test measurements on the installation have recorded savings of 1,400 kW at 415 kW. The Wilo-Stratos
is working miracles when it comes to saving energy. With the new Wilo-Stratos ECO high-efficiency pump, this enormous energy-saving potential is now also available for detached and semi-detached houses.
The correct setting.
With the Stratos, Wilo is making a contribution towards the optimisation of heating installations and towards research in this area. The OPTIMUS project (OPTIMAL ENERGIE NUTZEN - maximising the use of energy) commissioned by the Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German federal foundation for the environment)
investigated how much energy can actually be saved by optimised heating installations
in a long-term field test. WILO AG is an active
partner in this project (www.optimus-online.de).
