The Bad Gandersheim school centre is the showcase of the Nordheim administrative district.

Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Jeschke was asked by the management to investigate all municipal buildings for their saving potential and to optimise it accordingly.
He got top marks for the school centre.

Complete modernisation with surprising results.
By using just one condensing boiler, one-low temperature boiler and three cast iron sectional boilers, the heating power of 1,900 kW was reduced to less than
400 kW. The boiler circuit pump and two conventional energy-saving pumps were replaced with two high-efficiency Wilo-Stratos pumps. Result: a reduction in the electrical power consumption of 95 % - just for the pumps.

A lesson in saving energy.
A power consumption of just 37 W was recorded for the Wilo-Stratos pumps - compared to 790 W for the previous, larger energy-saving pumps.
The radiators were adapted and the heating water volumes reassessed. Once the heating installation had been optimised, only 5 m³ of heating water instead of 23 m³ was circulated in the system.

Another new feature is the control of individual rooms with 48 circuits according to the weather conditions. This enables good savings because, for example, the water circulation drops to zero in the afternoons.
